Horsematching
Included with Horse Matching Services:
Personalized Buyer Consultation
Every horse search begins with a free, comprehensive 30–60 minute consultation conducted by phone, video conference, or in person. During this session, we’ll discuss your riding goals, experience level, preferences, budget, future aspirations, and previous horse ownership experience to create a clear profile of your ideal equine partner.
Seller Communication & Screening
I handle all initial communication with sellers on your behalf, saving you valuable time while helping protect you from common pitfalls in the horse market. This includes filtering through misleading advertisements, scams, horse traders, auction resellers, and horses that do not meet your stated requirements.
Candidate Evaluation & Research
Potential horse candidates are carefully evaluated based on temperament, training level, suitability for your goals, maintenance requirements, behavioral concerns, soundness history, previous injuries, and overall long-term compatibility.
Photo & Video Analysis
I personally review and analyze photos and videos of prospective horses, looking beyond the sales advertisement to identify strengths, concerns, and potential red flags. Horses that appear to be a good match are presented to you along with a detailed assessment outlining both the advantages and considerations of each candidate.
Objective Guidance Throughout the Search
My goal is not simply to help you find a horse—it’s to help you find the right horse. By providing an experienced, unbiased perspective throughout the buying process, I help reduce risk, avoid costly mistakes, and increase the likelihood of a successful long-term partnership between horse and rider.

Evaluations
Independent Horse Evaluation Services
Before you invest thousands of dollars in a horse, invest in your future with an unbiased second opinion!
Found a horse on your own but want an experienced, unbiased opinion before making the final decision?
Purchasing a horse is a significant investment, and it’s easy to overlook potential concerns when you’re excited about a prospect. My Independent Horse Evaluation Service provides buyers with a knowledgeable third-party assessment designed to help you make a confident, informed decision.
Whether you’ve located a horse through your own search, a trainer recommendation, social media advertisement, or private seller, I can provide an objective evaluation focused on suitability, training, temperament, management requirements, and potential red flags.
Evaluations are available through detailed photo and video review or through an in-person assessment.
My goal is not to sell you a horse—it’s to help you determine whether that horse is the right fit for your goals, experience level, and long-term success.

What is your role as the client?
- Arrange, schedule, and pay for PPE’s if you choose to have them done (which I highly recommend but don’t require)
- Follow quarantine guidelines according to your boarding facilities, as you choose to do, (or choose not to do) for your own property
- Arrange pickup/hauling of the purchased horse(s)
- Be honest about your wants and needs!
Expectations and disappointment go hand in hand so let’s clarify some here!
- Time and timeframes: This endeavor is based on market, prices, and availability, all of which fluctuate with times, seasons and the economy. There is not a way to guarantee a timeline or time frame of completion of this search. These searches can take as little as 2 weeks and as long as 6 months. If you want to set a specific time frame to find your equine match, for example, limit it to 3 months, make sure to let me know during our session!
- Travel and The “Click Factor:” I’m a firm believer that a horse can check all the boxes but the person and the horse still just might not “click.” This can only be determined through an in-person visit. Travel can be included in my services, and many people have bought horses through just video and PPE’s being absolutely satisfied with their new partners! Make sure to let me know how much travel you want to do, if any, during our session!
- Response Times: As results become available that fit your criteria, I will forward them on to you, but sometimes there will be lulls in findings. I make it a point to communicate any updates and check in weekly. Clients are welcome to contact me at any point with questions, search modifications, or horses you come upon that you’d like me to evaluate!
- Perfection: No human is perfect, and as such, no horse is perfect. But there is such a thing as a good fit, and a not so good fit. We see this play out in personal relationships all the time. Just as each of those relationships take time and effort to succeed, so do our equine partnerships. What can you live with? What can you work with? What do you want to work on, or not? All these we can discuss during our session!
Disclaimer(s)
I am not a vet or your riding instructor and don’t intend to take the place of either. I do ask that clients be honest and open about their riding or driving abilities involving horses!
I am not responsible for things a vet does not find, health issues or damages caused by improper quarantine methods, improper herd introductory methods, training limits of the horse(s), life changes or buyer’s remorse. I will be absolutely honest about what I see in a horse and how far along they are in their training, as well as any “holes” in their training I see, and any potential training opportunities the horse might need if you choose to take them on.
My searches are limited to US only, I do not search for horses outside of or take on clients outside of the US at this time.
